Rotary Solenoids

Rotary

The design characteristics of the rotary solenoid originate from the push-pull solenoid, featuring a flat-angled movable plunger. Its structure incorporates inclined planes that convert linear motion into rotary motion. Three helical grooves, known as “ball races,” are precision-cut into the case and the armature plate. These ball races serve two functions: first, they convert linear motion into rotary motion; second, they act as a secondary bearing system to support the rotary action of the solenoid.

The specialized ball race design delivers a consistent torque output, while varying duty cycles provide different levels of torque output.
Rotary solenoids utilize an optimized coil configuration to provide maximum magnetic force.
By utilizing an exceptionally short magnetic circuit, the design maximizes torque output, resulting in an extremely fast response time upon energization.
