Push-Pull Electromagnets are engineered to generate the maximum magnetic force possible within a minimal spatial footprint by optimizing the coil configuration. The fully assembled coil is housed inside a metallic iron tube made of high-permeability steel, which minimizes overall size and weight while maximizing the output of the holding and pulling force.

 

The plunger’s design utilizes an auxiliary magnetic circuit to boost the output force by approximately 20% to 50%. Generally, the shaft is fixed directly to the movable plunger and can be connected at either end during application. Consequently, if the load is attached to the shaft at the bottom end, the mechanism functions as a push-type electromagnet. Conversely, if the load is connected to the plunger end, the setup operates as a pull-type electromagnet.
